Everyone is welcome - Marshall Road students, their families, teachers, including the surrounding suburbs & wider Brisbane communities. Please join us in celebrating our Country Carnival!

The Country Carnival will be held on Saturday 17th October 2026 from 12 to 5pm. It is located on the Max Martin Oval at Marshall Road State School. Best access is via either Monza St or Rheims St, Holland Park West.

No, entry to the Country Carnival is completely FREE.

Yes, dressing up is highly encouraged - it may even win you prize! Dust off your boots, pull on your jeans, and grab your hat!

We have a wet weather plan in place which involves running the majority of the attractions and food stalls under the main school buildings. Some rides and entertainment may be affected.

Unfortunately there are no animals allowed on the school grounds with the exception of service animals.
Ticketing & Money

You don’t need tickets to enter the Carnival as admission is FREE.
However, Unlimited Ride Armbands are available for purchase as well as ‘MRSS Money’. You can pre purchase these online to skip the queues .

Purchasing an Unlimited Ride Armband will give unlimited use of all the rides for 5hrs.
Please buy 1 per person and they are non transferrable.
To see all the rides included in armband access go to the Rides section of the ‘What’s On’ page. Does not include entry to the Animal Farm.

MRSS Money is the money system for the Carnival - as this is a cashless event - EFTPOS machines will be available but only on certain stalls.
MRSS Money can be used on all stalls and activities. A price list will be released closer to Carnival day to help you estimate how much you will need.
Additional MRSS Money can be purchased on the day at the Ticket Booth.

There are a few options to receive your pre-purchased online tickets (please select the delivery method at the time of purchase)
School Delivery - If you are are Marshall Road State School parent/carer you can have your passes sent to your eldest child’s class (enter their grade and class in the Delivery Instructions
School Pickup - A ticket collection desk will be setup after school the week of the Carnival (Dates and times to be confirmed)
Carnival Collection - Passes can be collected from the Ticket Booth on Carnival Day

Yes you can! There will be a Ticket Booth near the Monza Street entrance to purchase your passes.
The Ticket Booth will be open for the duration of the Carnival if you need to purchase additional MRSS Money.
Food, Drinks & Dietary Requirements

Yes! We aim to cater to most dietary requirements. Check the signage at individual food stalls, or ask our friendly volunteers for assistance.
Volunteers & Donations

Wonderful we would love the extra help, there will be a Sign Up Sheet available soon on the ‘Get Involved’ page for those people wanting to help out on Carnival Day.
When filling out the Sign Up Sheet please add your contact details so you can be updated with any necessary instructions or changes to the schedule.
Facilities, Accessibility & Safety

Yes there will be portable toilets on the school oval. Please see the Event Map closer to Carnival day for locations.

The main oval will be pram and wheelchair friendly, please use the Monza Street gate for best accessibility. However, events taking place in our Performing Arts Center are only accessed via stairs.
In the event of wet weather, if the oval is closed, best access to the rest of the school will be via the Rheims Street gate.

Yes, qualified First Aid officers will be on-site. Their location will be marked on the map when it is released.

Smoking and vaping is not allowed on school grounds - please leave the oval if you wish to smoke/vape
